Hoist Duty Cycle Raitings…Which is Right for You?

Hoists have a specific duty cycle rating. The rating specifies the amount of run time and number of starts a hoist can perform in a given amount of time. When choosing a hoist you should always pick a rating that meets or exceeds your needs. By not using the correct hoist for your application, you can run the risk of premature wear or breakdown. The chart below is showing ratings for uniform work periods.
